Switzerland Football Name Their Player of the Year

Switzerland has announced its football player of the year for the year 2022. Granit Xhaka, an Arsenal star, and teammates Oleksandr Zinchenko and Thomas Partey praise Granit Xhaka for winning Switzerland's Player of the Year award for 2022.

His teammates have hailed Granit Xhaka as Switzerland's male national team Player of the Year for 2022. His performances for his country have been noticed, and he won an award at the Casino Bern in the capital of his country.

Switzerland International with 112 caps captained his team in all four of their 2022 FIFA World Cup matches, but in the last 16, his team lost 6-1 to Portugal. With his four appearances, Xhaka now has 111 caps, just seven shies of Heinz Hermann's record of 118. Being named Switzerland player of the year made me extremely happy. Thank you so much for your support. It truly means a lot to me," he wrote on Instagram.
After learning of the 30-year-old's award, his teammates responded quickly. According to Oleksandr Zinchenko, Thank you, brother, and Thomas Partey added fire and heart emojis. In addition, Arsenal sporting director Edu shared a top emoji with hands clapping, and Gunners loanee Pablo Mari wrote: What a performer. Xhaka has had an impressive calendar year for Arsenal, appearing in every league game except one.
As Mikel Arteta's team sits atop the Premier League table, the midfielder has started in all 19 league games this season. Since Arteta took away his armband in November 2019, his significance to the Gunners has increased. Additionally, Xhaka was a key contributor to his team's 3-2 victories over Manchester United and Tottenham in the north London derby. Switzerland Football is on the rise with its many star players playing in some of the top leagues of Europe.
