Swiss fans disappointed with exit

Switzerland fans said that they were disappointed with the way their team was eliminated at the Euros.

However, they were proud of the playing style shown by their team at the tournament and believe that they deserve better.

Switzerland has been participating at the Euros and World Cup since 1994 and many pundits believe that this is one of the best generations to represent the country. Indeed, with players such as Granit Xhaka and XherdanShaqiri in the team, Switzerland possesses players from the big European clubs in their midst.

Switzerland was eliminated in the penalty shoot-out against Poland in the Round of 16. Arsenal new player Granit Xhaka was the culprit for missing out one of Switzerland free-kick despite having been impressive throughout the tournament.

The match was a tightly contested one with both teams wary of making mistakes. However, it was Poland who started the match well and tried to get control of the game. They could have taken the lead in the first-half after a mistake from Djourou. The latter played a ball directly in the path of Robert Lewandowski, but he could not find the target.

Poland will take the lead in the 39th minute when KamilGrosicki found his way on the left side of the defence and played a precise ball to Blaszczykowski. The Borussia Dortmund player could not miss from close range and gave Poland the lead.

In the second half, Switzerland pressed higher up the pitch as they attempt to get an equalizer. They created chances after chances but were denied by the Polish goalkeeper. However, Poland goalkeeper Fabianski will have no chance on XherdanShaqiri spectacular effort.

Both teams tried to win the game at the regular time but could not manage to find a goal and the game headed to extra-time and then to penalties.
