BERNER TO EXIT LEICESTER

Reluctant Bruno Berner says that he is expecting to exit Leicester City soon. The Switzerland international, 33, has lost his place to on-loan Manchester City full-back Greg Cunningham.

Berner told BBC Radio Leicester: "I am still desperate to play. It looks like in January I am looking for a move.

"I am ambitious and too proud to sit on the bench, sit on a contract, take the money and be happy. I cannot do that."

BERNER WANTS WORLD CUP CALL

Leicester City left-back Bruno Berner has not given up hope of winning his place back in the Switzerland side ahead of the World Cup in South Africa.

But Berner, whose goal against Nottingham Forest on Saturday set the Foxes on the way to a 3-0 win, told BBC Radio Leicester time is running out.

The 32-year-old, who has won 16 caps, was left out of the national squad for next week's friendly against Uruguay.

He said: "I'm ready but there is not much time left so it'll be difficult."
