Ottmar Hitzfeld as well as being the coach of Switzerland, the German manager also has experience being in charge of high profile clubs such as Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

The 65 years old tactician has suggested Xherdan Shaqiri of Bayern Munich on not to leave the club despite not being a consistent starter for the German club which has already been crowned as the champions of the Bundesliga.

"I am always a fan of players staying firm to ongoing deals and bite through tough times. Xherdan Shaqiri is playing for the best club in the world and has the quality to be a first-team regular. The only thing he needs is to be patient." Hitzfeld told reporters during a press conference.

Shaqiri is a young and promising figure who has sparked the attention and interest of European clubs and it wouldn’t be surprising if they consider some of the offers which will be launched in the summer for the 22 years old player.
Hitzfeld also expressed his opinion concerning the outcome of the Champions League as praised the team of Pep Guardiola which continues breaking records and displaying superb performance every match they play.

"It is always sensational when a team gets to break such records. No team has been champions so early in the season. This is a sensational performance from Bayern. Pep Guardiola has made them even better a coach who had already won everything. For me, Bayern are the favorites for the Champions League." Hitzfeld stated.

The 2 time UEFA Champions League winner, Ottmar Hitzfeld has a long relationship with Ghana and he will be visiting Ghana in the next few days as the German manager has to share ideas with Ghanaian coaches and managers as well as making a donation at a grassroots Football Charity in Nima before leaving.
