Swiss fans disappointed with exit

Switzerland fans said that they were disappointed with the way their team was eliminated at the Euros.

However, they were proud of the playing style shown by their team at the tournament and believe that they deserve better.

PUMA SEAL SWISS DEAL

The Swiss Football Association has announced that it has extended its current deal with sportswear giant Puma. The long-term contract extension sits well with the Football Association and its plans to make the Swiss game even more attractive. The Sportlifestyle brand will also be the main technical partner for the SFV.

Puma will also be the licensed partner for their various associations up until the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which takes place in Brazil, and also the 2016 European championships. Ahead of the announcement, Puma also launched their latest kit for the Swiss national team.

SWISS DEPART DENMARK

The Switzerland U21 can leave with their heads held high after an impressive showing in the European championships. Ander Herrera put the Spanish side in the lead in the 41st minute in the match.

Didac Vila placed a cross onto the head of a charging Herrara who slipped between the two Swiss centre backs at the near post and pushed the ball past Swiss keeper Yann Sommer.

In the second half, the young Spaniards took near total control of the match, playing tic-tac-toe with the ball, rarely allowing the Swiss to mount a
counterattack.

SWISS MISS BARNETTA

Switzerland will be without Barnetta when they face England for the Euro 2012 qualifiers. The 25-year-old midfielder was also the day after the match against Australia (0-0) nor fever. Therefore Ottmar Hitzfeld decided in consultation with team doctor Roland Great, and the player who definitely plan without Barnetta.
